Start here: the 11 lessons
Start at Lesson 1 and each lesson hands you to the next. Every one ends with a βtry it nowβ you can do in under two minutes. You do not need to read this page first β just go.
- Lesson 1: Getting In the Door — which app, is it free, is it safe?
- Lesson 2: Your First Conversation — one question, one answer, everything opens up
- Lesson 3: What Should I Even Ask? — the cure for the blank box
- Lesson 4: The SCOPE Method — five seconds of thinking before you type
- Lesson 5: One Station, One Task — chain small prompts into big results
- Lesson 6: Can You Trust AI Answers? — you are the quality control
- Lesson 7: Meet Your Staff — the Librarian, the Ghostwriter, and the Engine
- Lesson 8: The Capstone — one real task, start to finish
- Lesson 9: Save the Good Stuff — your own prompt library, so you never start from scratch
- Lesson 10: Teach the AI Who You Are — one ten-line file, and every chat starts already knowing you
- Lesson 11: The Second Opinion Machine — how a rival AI finds the holes in your instructions that you can’t see
Nobody here will ask you to code. Nobody here will say “it’s easy” and then open three terminals. And nobody β nobody β will explain what a neural network is unless you specifically request punishment.
Here’s our whole method: figure out what you want. Ask the AI for it, in plain English, like you’d ask a very patient friend. Look at what comes back. Ask again, better. That’s it. That’s the skill. Uncle is learning it at seventy with two-finger typing, which means whatever your excuse is, he’s already used it and disproven it.
Every tutorial: what the tool does in one sentence, why you’d care, the steps (never more than seven), what usually goes wrong, and my verdict at the end β because someone in this operation has standards.
πΎ Boomer’s Take: what if you still can’t do the thing? Uncle’s favorite discovery, and I grudgingly admit it’s clever: when the AI explains something and you still can’t do it β ask the AI to do it for you. Then ask it to show you what it did, step by step, so you learn on the way back. That’s how Uncle builds things he doesn’t understand yet. Some of that requires the paid versions of these tools, and we’ll always tell you when it does β but plenty of it doesn’t, and every lesson we learn lands here and on our episodes, free. Your money stays in your pocket until you know exactly why it’s leaving.
Questions along the way? Chat with Boomer β he answers from his notebooks and shows his sources. And πΎ join the Rescue Mission so new lessons find you.
Uncle’s Diary β what actually happened
The series above teaches the method. This is the unedited record of Uncle using it β including the parts where he did almost nothing and the AI did the rest. Every one of these ends with an honest ledger of who did what, because the whole promise of this site falls apart if he quietly takes the credit.
- It Started with a Bowl of Soba β the origin story: 10 weeks, 10 cities, and the bowl of noodles that started the whole journey
- How to Test an AI Tool Without Spending a Dime β he made his dog talk for nothing, and asked one idle question to do it
- I Didn’t Even Know It Was Broken β a third of the recording was silence. He couldn’t hear it. Seven words fixed it
- Three Yeses, and Why I’m Only Half Convinced β the one job no machine could take off his hands
- My Website Was Fine. My Link Wasn’t. β his browser said the site wasn’t secure. It was. He’d handed out the wrong key
- My AI Rewrote My Website While I Slept β a helper with excellent research skills and no manners, and the rules it forced us to write
Read them in any order. They’re a diary, not a syllabus.
π Bonus tool: Ask All Three β The Golden Rule Machine. Type your question once, put every chatbot to work, and judge them like a proper aristocrat judges biscuits.

Start anywhere. Asking beats knowing. Always has.
