Musubi. Sushi. Sando. Put the three together and you get Musunda — Japanese for “bound together.”
It is a simple idea: a Spam musubi the size of a piece of sushi. Two bites. About a dollar. Pick six different ones and that is lunch.
We think the idea is good. We also know an idea is not a business. That part takes somebody who knows food and knows people — which is why you are reading this.
Read these in order
1. Start Here — two minutes. The idea and the ask.
2. The Two Shapes — what is on the plate, and the four choices a customer makes.
3. Why Nobody Else Is Doing This — where Musunda sits next to what is already out there.
4. What It Costs — the pennies in one piece, and the one number that decides everything.
5. Make It Yours — the starting recipes, and how to bend them.
6. Try It for One Saturday — a test that costs a grocery run.
7. The Road Ahead — what comes next, only if the Saturday goes well.
How these pages work
They are for reading. Nothing here asks you to sign up, fill in a form or download a file, and nothing you do here is saved. If the idea grabs you, keep your own notes and numbers on your own computer. They are yours.
One thing before you start. This is a starting point, not a script. Change the rice, the toppings, the name of a dish, the whole menu. If your version is better than ours, yours wins.
