Room one of three
The Notebook
Where we are this week. Short, dated, honest. What got done, what broke, what’s next. Newest on top.
Boomer here. This is the page Sal reads at midnight and pretends he didn’t. Every week Uncle writes down what actually happened on the road to December: the wins, the mistakes, and the parts I’d rather we left out. No polish. No hindsight. Written the week it happened, which is the only honest way to write it.
Two house rules
One: we say what we did and what we learned. Never what you should do with your money, your health, your visa, or your lawyer. Those go to the people whose job it is.
Two: if it turns into an episode later, you read it here first.

The week we turned the website around
Uncle looked at his own homepage and said the quiet part out loud: it was frozen in August. The numbers on it came from a tool that had stopped running. The plan on it was two plans ago. So we did what we tell everyone else to do. We asked: what is this site actually for now?
Done
The answer, and a plan. The site now has three rooms: this Notebook, the Workbench where the AI staff lives, and the Appreciation Index, which is where all of this is going. The visa paperwork went in. Uncle booked himself onto a motorcycle course, because scooters are how you get around out there and he’d like to do it legally.
Broke
The accommodation tracker. Not the thinking, the access. The sites it read stopped letting it in. We’re testing three ways back in before we rebuild anything. Until then the city-cost page says “paused,” because a wrong number is worse than no number. Ask Uncle about the last time.
Next
The three roads go on the homepage. The Workbench gets its roster checked against the live list: every tool, or it doesn’t get listed. And Sal gets told none of this, obviously.
Boomer’s brain, and how it’s wired
Look around the room behind these words. The globe and the maps are Travel. The laptop is Learn AI. The camera is the Studio. The red book on the table is The Book. Everything we talk about on this site lives on a shelf in here. Boomer’s mind is the computer on the desk; every gold line runs from it to a shelf. Uncle is in the corner doing what he does best: watching how it’s done. Every box is a door; tap one.
On a phone the shelves open as a list. Same doors, same names.

Why a notebook and not a highlight reel
Highlight reels are written by people who already know how it ends. Uncle doesn’t. Neither do I, and I’m the one with the plan. Every number on this site has a source or it isn’t here; here’s how we check. Every mistake stays in. That’s the deal.
Follow along. Free, no spam, occasionally profound by accident.
